The Grampian Club has an extensive library of books on mountaineering and climbing at home and abroad. These include guide books and expedition books from the greater ranges and many are of considerable historical interest.

It was decided recently to entrust the safe keeping of the library to the University of Dundee, where they can be viewed at the Archive Department. There is also a large collection of photos and some fascinating old transparencies (see below). They hope to have the collection listed soon on their web site: www.dundee.ac.uk/archives and are happy to answer questions from members.

A small library of books is kept at Newton cottage.
